Welcome

Welcome to my train of thought. Just a warning, there might be turbulence. I'm a little eccentric, but hopefully you'll find something here that'll make the crazy worth it. Stay tuned for book reviews, ramblings on random things, and all sorts of stuff that tickles my fancy. But keep your hands and arms inside the vehicle at all times. My brain is a scary place!

Review: Snared

Snared Snared by Jennifer Estep
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jennifer Estep knows how to have FUN in her stories. This one covered some really dark material (I mean honestly, the series is about an assassin... let's not act shocked this one has dark stuff in it, guys), but I still loved it.

Gin finds out that some of her enemies aren't just violent evil thugs. She also finds out that some of them *ARE* just violent evil thugs. She makes some progress on her Circle hunting. And we get to see quite a few of our favorite cast members. (Also, can I get an AMEN to Owen being less cardboard-cutout-y in this one? :D )

My biggest complaint is that it was predictable. I pretty much guessed almost everything that was going to happen. But, in typical Estep fashion, I had fun anyways.

All in all, a very solid entry into the series. She says she's planned now through book 19 (really? You're killing me, Estep -- why 19 instead of 20? Stephen King fetish?), and I will definitely be along for the final few novels on this ride through the world of the Elemental Assassin.

Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
