Welcome

Welcome to my train of thought. Just a warning, there might be turbulence. I'm a little eccentric, but hopefully you'll find something here that'll make the crazy worth it. Stay tuned for book reviews, ramblings on random things, and all sorts of stuff that tickles my fancy. But keep your hands and arms inside the vehicle at all times. My brain is a scary place!

Review: When the Night Comes Knocking

When the Night Comes Knocking When the Night Comes Knocking by Katherine Daniel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Thanks to Netgalley and Berkley for the pre-release copy of When the Night Comes Knocking by Katherine Daniel. Below is my honest review.

First things first - there are some trigger/content warnings for this one, so be prepared going in.

Atmosphere? Check. Dark histories and secrets to hide? Check. Sibling drama? Check. Evil monster dead set on destroying everyone it can to get what it wants? Check. Dog that doesn't die? Check.

While this is mostly plot-driven, the characters aren't one-dimensional in the slightest, each providing more than enough depth to understand them (and for most of them, sympathize/empathize).

For a debut? Excellent. I'll definitely be on the lookout for more from Katherine Daniel!

Recommended for horror fans, locked room/isolated locales, and really disturbing monsters.
